About the Fellowship
A yearlong fellowship that brings high‑impact leaders into the ACFR Reform United Nations Project to help shape UN reforms through fresh ideas, strategic perspectives, and innovative solutions. Fellows contribute directly to the Project’s mission to modernize the United Nations and advance the broader mandate of the African Council on Foreign Relations.
Throughout the year, fellows participate in a wide range of programs, events, consultations, and leadership activities that deepen their engagement with global governance challenges. They collaborate with ACFR experts, diplomats, and partners across the Reform UN ecosystem to generate actionable insights and strengthen the Project’s reform agenda.
Upon completion of the fellowship, participants transition into the role of special envoys for the Reform United Nations Project. In this capacity, they continue to champion the Project’s mission, represent its values, and support its global outreach. Fellows also serve as mentors to emerging young leaders across the Reform UN ecosystem, helping cultivate the next generation of thinkers, reformers, and global governance innovators.
